Is it a compliment if somebody tells you you're adorable every time they see you?

Or are they trying to tell you smtn? I've a friend who would tell me I am so so cute all the time and she's always like Anna, you're sooooo cute! And this time when we were all wearing this ugly costume for an event she was like how could you still look so cute in these! And all that. I used to take it as a compliment and just tell her she's too sweet or something along the lines but it's kinda become um.... I dunno. I feel like just Maybe she wants to point something out to me in a benign non-offensive way? I have always been quite popular with tall white girls for some reason but I'm like 21 and she's kind of like the only person who treats me like this. And it's not like I dress up really nicely or try to act cute or anything. If anything I aim for rather sexy, but that's beside the point. Maybe she just honestly thinks I'm seriously adorable...

It's emptied "cute". In highschool, they say cute for every little things.. like, they wanted to compliment but do not know how or just really think you're really cute! But, if they say , adorable- then, you're really adorable, lovable, cute person!
